    Hello,

We are currently in the process of integrating the FAST ESP 5.3 with Oracle UCMS (Content Management System) for the fulltext search.

We have generated the index profile from the oracle ucms, and when we try to upload the index profile with FAST server, we are getting the following error.

[2011-03-29 07:36:43.014] ERROR systemmsg Unable to parse D:\Datasearch\www\admin\dataoutputs\tmp\webcluster_1301402201\index-profile: XMLParseException: XML file D:\Datasearch\www\admin\dataoutputs\tmp\webcluster_1301402201\index-profile is not valid.
[2011-03-29 07:36:43.014] ERROR systemmsg Unable to parse "D:\Datasearch\www\admin\dataoutputs\tmp\webcluster_1301402201\index-profile"
[2011-03-29 07:36:43.014] ERROR systemmsg Parse error in D:\Datasearch\www\admin\dataoutputs\tmp\webcluster_1301402201\index-profile

Looks like we need to map the field on the index profile DTD. Is anyone in the forum has such experience integrating FAST ESP 5.3 with Oracle UCM for the Full-Text search?

    Any information is highly helpful.

    Regards
    Ravi

Your problem is not related to the integration with Oracle UCM, your index-profile is invalid.
Base your index-profile on one of the provided ones in the $FASTSEARCH/index-profiles directory. Also make sure you read the ESP Configuration Guide.

    Hi Cooltami,

Can you please let me know the status whether you were successful in integrating the FAST ESP 5.3 with Oracle UCM ? Is there any active support for FAST ESP 5.3 ? My understanding is that there is no support for ESP as well as no active development after Microsoft bought FAST and integrated with Sharepoint server. Is that true ? Please let me know your comments.

We have an immediate requirement to use FAST ESP to integrate with Oracle Webcenter Content Server (Previously UCM/Stellant). Therefore, I am looking for information on FAST. Your earliest response will be appreciated.

I agree with Edward. Your index profile is not valid that's why you are getting the error. You can use bliss utility to validate your index profile.
    Example : bliss -v <Path of index profile file>

    Thanks
    Ashish
